Hi All
I went b/c in nov and most things have been fine until last week had a call from a company called eos solutions about a catalogue debt. I gave them my b/c number but they have called again today asking for a copy of my SOA and my b/c order to prove i have been declared b/c and have included this debt in my b/c. My case is with the trustee now so what do i do. Not happy about sending a copy of my list of creditors for all and sundry to see. There also seems to be a bit of a mix up as i owed them £900 but he's asking about a debt of £150. I did have 2 accounts but both in my name on my agency so perhaps this has something to do with it. Anybody throw some sort of light or advice please.Dalip

They have no right to ask you for a copy of your SOA.
If they have any issues they must address them to the OR. And as I'm sure you know, the debt is included in the bankruptcy whether it is on the SOA or not.
You can send them a copy of the BR order if you want, but all you have to do is just refer them to the OR.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thats what i thought but he was really snotty.I have given them my bc number ect. As my case is with the trustee now do i refer them to him?.They did not ask for my SOA but that is the only thing with their debt on,when i told him that he said he wanted a copy of it as well. Will get in touch with the trustee and see what he says. Thanks again.DalipFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

I doubt this guy even realises what he's asking for. I would just pass him on to the OR.BCSC Member 70:j

You could be right.
You get so used to seeing creditors being deliberately awkward that you tend to just assume that is what they are doing. Perhaps they didn't have a clue?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Just say "yes no problem, its £14.95 + VAT for my SOA and £19.95 + VAT for a copy of my BR document, I can accept PayPal" and then leave a big pause on the phone and wait for his/her response.

I was looking at what the courts charge for copies of documents the other day.
£5 for 1 to 10 sheets, and then 50p per sheet after that.
Stubie's figures don't seem so outlandish when you think about it.:rolleyes:Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Why was it to cheap

I agree with fermi on this one, they have no right.
FYI, Tiscali were pestering me for £67.58, I sent them a brief letter back along with an invoice for my time and trouble for £14.95 + VAT. They have not paid yet and have never been back in contact. I did ask for payment within 14 days, so I best send a red bill to them.
