If you're into knitting and looking for patterns, there's a really good site here...
http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/
Some are US patterns though, so watch out for the different needle sizes and terminology.Val.0 -

Exactly. Everyone knows that loads of normal well-adjusted people of all ages knit - here's a good example:

Errr, right, but if she makes the other one of these, have you considered that you might actually have to wear them??

I'm sure I've knitted the sock pattern above! (But not, admittedly, in that colour...) http://pepperknit.com/patterns/anastasia.html
Hand knit socks are great, btw...warm, cosy and guaranteed to fit. Don't knock them till you've tried them.

The snoods look cool! and I love the bolero - ive got one similar to that but with slightly longer sleeves, but mine cost a fortune from monsoon! So who says young people don't wear the stuff on that page

Many thanks for that link OP :beer:
My Mum will love looking at that site and I think I can see a few of the patterns being bought too.
As regards the post above mine ... I do wish people could be nicer and not be so rude to others. Politeness costs nothing

you're right sorry everyone0 -
How fortunate that text-speak takes all the offence out of blasphemy, just as unconvincing self-deprecation takes the sting out of ageism, bigotry and general rudeness.
In written English hulsey has said:
** ******* *** there for grannies not young people for God's sake are you out of your mind In my arrogant opinion
(excuse deliberate spelling mistake in the third word)
Hi, sorry, but couldn't resist;
the sentence should read (all offensive words entirely removed
)
'** ** ******* *** they're for grannies...'
-no offence to anyone - and I think the patterns are great, but yes there are plenty of modern patterns out there, just have a look around
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
