claiming unpaid child tax

sorry if wrong place but im in need of advice i came across this today

now ive called (or rather my sister did) inland ref and asked about it. they gave her an address to write to with all details.

now is it best to do this or go with the company ??

help. dont want to do the wrong thing. i might not even be entitled to anything but its worth a go isnt it ????

  • ok i just called the company in the ad and said i wanted some info. they act on a no win no fee thingy so basicly im going to avoid it as they take a percentage of what you get. iasked him what was to stop me doing the claim myself and he said that the inland ref drag there feet ect ect.... in other words ,nothing is to stop you asking yourself in a letter.
    you need to send the childrens details, age d.o.b ect .
    n.i number , all the normal details.
    you also need to draft a letter asking them to look into your tax claim betwee those date to see if the claim was payed out right. im going to draft a letter in a bit.

    This has been discussed previously.
    There is absolutely no need to pay a company to do something that you can do for free. Write to the Inland Revenue - the worst that can happen is that you have already claimed it (or your partner) through the tax code at the time.
