08701525672 - anyone know who this is?

Had a call at 8am this morning(!!) from this number - I was feeding my baby so couldn't answer, but they left a message. The message was weird - someone mumbling something I really couldn't understand (sounded foreign) and lots of background noise. They phoned yesterday too.

I tried to google them but to no avail - noone really knows who they are! Anyone here recognise the number? Its baffling me but I dont want to phone them back as I'm worried it may be a bit dodgy.

More than likely, Natasha - but do NOT return the call - it will cost you up to 11pence a minute, more than half of which will go to line the pockets of these 'people'.

    Natasha

You could try googling "say no to 0870" and entering the number there or simply google the number and see what comes up. Good luck with it.

No record of that number on https://www.saynoto0870.com.

The only direct result from google is:

    http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/08701525672

    Not that helpful.

Looking at fermi's link, I think that the 'plasterers' have long since gotten rid of that number

I rang it sure it said "NTL Europe" I put the phone down in seconds definately initials then Europe
  • Reminds me of a call I got a while ago from MBNA.

Had some cryptic call from an American, didn't say who he was, or directly what he wanted, just that "something was missing from an arrangement, let's leave it at that for now" or words to that effect.

Freaked me out at first, but when I realised who it was found it really funny, Soprano style tactics from a bank :o
  • This telephone number is NCO europe, debt collectors on behalf of orange and very rude at that! People there aren't interested in setting up payment plans or even just discussing the debt! In fact the moment they realise they aren't getting any money from you they'll end the call as quick as they can even if that means them hanging up on you!
  • Okay guys and girls the company is based in Shirley West Midlands on the stratford Road.Very very rude people as at first when you speak to them they demand money etc with an abussive attitude..then after a bit when you start pointing out certain laws to them then they start to back down.Tell them you know the location of the office also as i think they try to keep it a secret location and the tone changes.:rotfl:
