I have 7 years 99 days superannuation pension (deferred) and now pay into a LGPS, would it be wise to transfer the superannuation ?

I have 18 years til I reach 65.

    Superannuation pension with whom?

As to whether it's wise it depends on the transfer values, benefits of each scheme and salary prospects in your new job.

The superannuation is from when I worked as a nurse in NHS.
So do you think I need to get an up to date forecast for this and compare with LGPS, although I find it all very confusing, but can't afford cost of an IFA

If you're in either an NHS or Local Gov Trade Union they will probably be able to provide free financial advise.

Generally if you can transfer from one public sector scheme to another as you change jobs it's a good idea, unless there are some strange circumstances to your job change

You have to transfer in within one year of joining the LGPS.
    Scrum down.
