Early discharge notice advice please ..

Hi everyone not been on since December been trying to get on with a new debt free life and its wonderful best thing i have ever done and i didn't enter into BR light heartily either ...
I have just had my early discharge notice which is wonderful but what now ??? is that it am I now free ? After my face to face interview with the OR this is the first I have heard from them so no repayment anything I guess that is because I don't have spare money .
Do I need to ever cntact the OR again regarding money etc say if I won the lottery ( yeah I know I can dream !!! :D:D ) or inherited from family etc ?
BR as of 26th April 2007 and feeling 10 years younger :T

If only ex could be sorted as easily :wall:

    Congrats on the ED. :D

You still have a duty to cooperate with the OR should any issues arise regarding your former bankruptcy estate.

But if you have no IPA then you are not obliged to inform the OR of any change in income.

Neither do you normally have to inform the OR if you receive any windfall. The only small exception to this is if you have become entitled to the windfall while you were undischarged. For example if you became entitled to an inheritance while BR, but received the money after.

But for all practical purposes that is IT! :D

I hope you have the fresh start you deserve.

  • That's great ... thank you so much ... My mum is 85 and has been worried sick , she changed her will when I went bankrupt and asked my two sisters to look after my share of her estate if she should pass on until I could have the money but she thought it would cause arguments so she desperatley wants to change her will yet again bless her to include me in it ...hope it dont arise for many years to come yet ....she's the best ...

To the best of my knowledge she can safely change it back now. :)
