    Noticed a sign in Phones 4 U saying if you only have a few months left on your contract, they'll buy out the remainder for you. Obviously there are T&Cs but it might be worth looking into.
    I had an overdraft for about 6 years that I never made any headway into paying off. I set up a DD from my current account into an ISA, (passbook only knowing I was never likely to actually go into the bank to withdraw from it)
    and A couple of months ago I paid it all off bar £50. It felt soooo good!
    then I decided I didn't even need the £50 "emergency" overdraft so cancelled that too! First time i've had no overdraft since I was a teenager!!
  • wow! that does make me feel better, overdraft is the bain of my life! Been thinking about what the best thing to do would be but still not sure...
