Here goes mymum has had a payment arrangement with cap one for a defaulted credit card they ask every 6mths for an updated payment arrangement fair enough. The debt is about 2000 and she pays 33.61 which to be fair is more than she can afford especially with the fact that her circumstances have changed and she is now a single person. Anyhoo this letter is asking for wage slips any benefit proof if shes on them(shes not on them so irrelevant) and bank staements all for the last three months which i believe to be unjustified especially as she hast defaulted none of her other creditors who she has arrangements with are complaining or asking for this kind of info. My main point is are they allowed to do that?

They like to do this, we've tried arguing with them but they either wanted a signed I&E form or copies of bank statements - we decided bank statements were the lesser of two evils.
