    My understanding of the working time directive is that anyone working over six hours in one shift must be given a break of at least 20 minutes. Have you thought of agreeing to ,say, a 30-minute break which would still give you some flexibility and allow your employers to remain within the law?

    That's probably what I will try to negotiate in the end. Half an hour is about what all I was getting anyway before pregnancy
