Checking over my credit file yesterday and I came across a default that was registered against me in 2005...for 3p. 3P!!! That has got to be a wind-up right? It was for an overdraft with lloyds that I thought I'd paid off, however it seems as though I forgot the odd 3pence and the gits went and defaulted me. For 3p.
Can I get it removed? Obviously once I've paid the 3p. OMG-what if they've added loads of interest to it? Damn that bank! And I used to quite like them lol!!

This is stupid - they deserve to get as much publicity from this as you can possibly manage. Why not get in touch with every consumer TV programme you can find, every newspaper's personal finance column - everybody. If they want to damage your reputation for 3p, the least you can do is cause some damage to theirs.0

Good god, just when I thought I'd seen it all. That's unreal.:A

I have learned on this forum that they have to remove the default if you have not been served a default notice prior to issuing the default. You obviously have not received a default notice otherwise you would have paid the pathetic 3p. I suggest you write them a cheque, send it recorded, and once it has been cashed, request for the default notice to be removed on the grounds that you have never received any correspondence in relation to it and also that it's now settled.Total debt £3625.07.

Goals: 1.) DFD December 2008 (snowball) / October 2008 (me:o ) 2.) Salary £30kpa (currently £26450pa) 3.) Slim down to 55kg (currently 68kg
) 4.) Start stoozing :j

All for 3p???!!! Blimey - that's a bit keen of them. I tried closing an account with the Halifax about a year ago and in December I got a statement showing £16 in that account. It could have so easily been something like 3p overdrawn for all I'd known.
Kick up a stink over that - what wallies.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
I'd offer to pay in installaments.0

You know, I like that idea! Shall I? For a giggle lol!!
I'm going to phone them and find out what the hell is going on. I have a loan with them which has defaulted so I'm wondering whether they messed up a bit when putting the default on my file, but I'm not sure how you can 'accidently' default a 3p overdraft as well as a £2k loan lol!
I just cant believe that it's on my record. What a joke! My whole file is a mess but thats not the point is it - that is one default too many now! :rotfl:LBM - January 2008 ~ debt - [strike]£16,260.00[/strike] £16,90.00 ~ Debt-free date - October 2016! :eek:Official DFW Nerd Club Member No: 842 ~ Proud to be dealing with my debts!! :cool:0 -
