  • It all depends how quickly your old bank will give them a redemption figure. Mine took 3 weeks to get back to them. I say pester Lloyds.

agree, FD actually told me that when they ask it would be helpful for me to ask, have it faxed across to me and then fax onto FD as existing lenders will respond quicker to customers over new lenders...

Out of curiosity, at what point do First Direct ask you when you want the mortgage to start?

I don't remember putting this date anywhere, and no recent forms have asked me for it ... but they must need a commencement date??

FD still waiting for redemption figure from Halifax. I also applied in Feb, and ahve now been on SVR for the month of April and May, looks like I may have to pay for June too. Will give Halifax a ring and ask them to fax us the redemption figure I think as they are obviously going to delay as they make more ££ that way.

just recieved offer docs after being incorrectly they had been posted on the 6th May. I waited for 5 days and then called to find that they are still snowed under, recieved today. Now to return and they will probably take weeks to request a redemption. no chance of making the 1st June for me.

Im also having probs with Nationwide releasing the redemtion figure.

According to FD nationwide have hung up twice.

I am going to ring nationwide and ask them to fax me the redemtion means i might only be on high interest for 1 month !!

I just got a text, informing me that my offer papers are in the post. I realise I will need a redemption statement, do I ask for the latest figure, or do I need the figure as at the end of June (when my current mortgage rate will end)?
    Thanks.
