FD phoned me yesterday to confirm some details for the valuation :T

They said I should receive the mortgage offer in 7 to 19 day, subject to a satisfactory valuation.

When this happens I will activate the 1st Account, and start using it.

Its nice tho, like our own little FD mortgage family. I'm enjoying reading how you're all getting on.
No news here, still waiting for the next stage. But the fact I've had verbal agreement is enough to keep me smiling for now

its a good thing for those of us who are mortgaging with f.d, i appreciate you taking the time with updates etc, im doing the same on pg1.
gives us all a basic idea of timescales etc - top stuff - thanks !:T

I can't believe how much stress and worry this FD mortgage is causing. It's taken up all my thinking time, it's always on my mind, I've become obsessed by it  and check this thread regularly to see how you are all doing.

Our signed offer is now in the post box waiting to be picked up by the nice posties. Trouble is, I'm now worrying that the post box is going to have an arson attack tonight and my letter is going to get frazzled and cause a delay on the mortgage, I really need to get out more :rotfl:

I know what you mean Lostsocks, I was so nervous waiting for the approval. I know there are other mortgages out there but I got it in my head this was the only one for us and will be so dissapointed if anything goes wrong.
Thank god we're only re mortgaging, i really don't think I could cope if we were actually buying a house:rotfl:

Tell me abt it. My routine once I get into work is to check this thread for any updates and then around 10am, I will give my "daily" call to FD!!!!

I might get my mortgage then get the sack - for mis-use of the internet at work! It's all consuming. I want this mortgage, because it's the cheapest. What we'll save on the payments, I might use for the life assurance cover and employment cover, and still be in pocket (vs other mortgages).

If we were going through this alone, it'd be worse, we'd think it was just us. Thanks for the support, everyone!

Check your personal messages totally_confused, I've sent you instructions about how to link to other posts.

I'm due to call them this afternoon regarding my legal pack, I'll keep you updated.

  • Major BREAKTHROUGH or so I hope... Legal pack has already been sent to solicitor last night and she should receive it today. Will be giving her a call later in the afternoon to check if she has received it and to see if we can fix a date for exchange/completion.

But offer acceptance/valuation still not checked. She said they were "busy" and it should be done in the next few days.

Btw, for those asking for long how it takes for the money to reach your solicitors, FD says they need 5 working days to transfer the funds to your solicitors and the funds should reach the day before completion.

    Timeline updated here (thanks dweeby)

    ** update:

After posting this, just received a text from FD that my valuation has been approved and the application is progressing. So I guess it is just the offer acceptance that is pending.
