Hsbc Ppi
Hi all
Just after a quick bit off advice as to wether this would be worth pursuing or not. Here goes.
In mid 2001 i took out a loan from HSBC for £10000. I originally wanted to borrow £15000 but was turned down because the bank basically thought it was too much. So i was offered £10000 but told I would only be accepted if I took out PPI on the amount. Being young and not really having a clue about money at that age I agreed.
I didn't want PPI as I knew that if the worse came to the worse someone would lend me the money to make my £260 payments per month, but as i said above if i wanted the £10000 HSBC said I would have to take out the PPI too.
I eventually paid back the loan about 4 or 5 months early and recieved about £24 back of PPI.
I don't have any paperwork, I don't know the date that i took out the loan, I don't know what the loan APR was, the only thing i have is the loan account number that i found whilst going through my bank statements online.
What do you guys think? Is this worth chasing up?
Many Thanks in advance
