how about getting power rangers small poster or a magazine and make a collage (think i spelt it rigt) add thier names to it and get it laminated as a placemat for when they eat, if they are anything like my boys (5 and 8 now) the little one will want what the eldest has got.lol
or my local woolwothrs had them paint your own plate/cup/piggy bank sets in the sale from £2 up to about £6 depending on which one you bought then you can all do it together.x
hope this helpsnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
My boys are also 5 and 8 now, but when they were a bit younger I got them to help me make a cardboard box train. I'm talking small cardboard boxes (mini cereal box packets), soup boxes, etc. We used egg boxes and circular pieces of pasta for the wheels and tubes for funnels. We covered it in paper mache to stop the lettering showing through and painted it red. (For speed, you could just cover it with plain coloured paper). A jam jar lid was also put on the front. To personalise it we made some paper windows and I used clip art of a cartoony drivers hat which was put on a photo of my older son as he was the driver! Other family members photos were put on as passengers, as were characters they liked from the TV at the time, The Tweenies, Pingu, Noddy, etc. Most boys love trains and this was a nice item to put on display as well as to play with... if not the paint your own piggy bank sounds good except i got one for my niece for her birthday from hawkins bazaar! shouldnt matterYes Your Dukeiness

Alternatively.... get yourself down to Woolies, they've got a 25% off Playdough sale on at the moment. We got Playdough Operation game for £3.74 (orig. £9.99) thanks to a QuickGrabbit person, and my kids have just had great fun with that. Only do this if you haven't got carpets everywhere though, its a devil to remove off carpets. Most kids (& big kids!) like Playdough.I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0

Ah! Got you now! The box is kinda biggish. Its 34cm long x 24cms wide and 8cms deep.
If it seems too big though, you could always pick some smaller packs of Playdough in Woolworths, they are all 25% off.
Hope this helps.I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
The trouble with Playdough is that it is a fraction of the price in the US (and they have better sets than us too!).
For example, you can buy the big 4 x packs for $1.99 (about a quid) in ToysrUs. I get all my Playdough from there as it's so much cheaper than in the UK.You'll have the same problems with many of the big named toys.
If they are from the States, why don't you get something truely "British" for them......something with a flag, or to do with London etc.......it will be something special that will remind them of their time over here."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
thats the problem i was thinking with power rangers stuff, theyll have much better stuff out there already why its so hard,
they used to live in UK untill a couple of years ago
so have like Next t-shirts with the british flag and that,
argh this is why its so hardYes Your Dukeiness
