I Wanna Air Compressor - Sad I Know!

Getting to that stage in life where the garage is about to become my second home and would like some advice on getting a portable, cheap but effective air compressor to do some small spraying and running a variety of air tools on.
Looked on Wolf online, Machine Mart etc but still am unsure what would be best for my needs. Any ideas?
