Who does Abbey use when checking credit scores?
I decided to go BR in Nov 2006 and was discharged in July 2007.
Since then I have banked with Abbey and have a weekly income of £600.
My Experian CR shows that I have a poor credit score of 624/1000 and still shows one creditor as showing that I have an outstanding balance which I am in the process of getting sorted.
Today, I decided to look at Equifax and was surprised as to how more indepth it is then Experian.
Equifax shows all of my creditors that I defaulted with where Experian only shows a few, it also shows that those not on Experian still have me as defaulted instead of 'satisfied' which means I know have to send out letters to them.
My question is,...As I bank with Abbey and need a loan, Im assuming its best to go with the Abbey. I have regular income and no debits apart from rent, gas, elec and Sky each month.
But who do Abbey use to check the credit report? If they go with Experian Im hoping Im in with a chance. If the use Equifax I am well and truely blown out of the water.
The loan isnt large. Only £6k over 2 years. Is it better to get an apointment with my local bank manager and talk face to face rather then go through the process over the phone?

Regardless off whether they use Experian or Equifax, if your credit history is like that I would think it's highly unlikely they'd agree it.0
