Every time I try to get on any site that ends .org.uk I get redirected to a !!!!!! site (the same one each time). I've run adaware, spybot, spyware doctor, avast and panda online scan, and it's still happening. I've spent hours going through the files on the pc in case there's something hiding but I can't find anything
Any ideas?

it sounds like a blended threat.
a virus which installs a spyware program, which replicates itself as a virus.
virus killers kill the virus, but leave the spyware
anti-spy ware kills the spyware but leaves the virus.
something is redirecting the url tags, my suggestion would be a format-restart the machine. But Ill keep my eyes open for a .org.uk redirection."See you on the Other Side"0 -
You could try downloading and running HijackThis:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html
This will give you a list of all start-up processes and may highlight a hijacker. You need to investigate the report yourself (Google each item and see if it's a known hijacker) or post the results file for expert analysis on a site like http://forums.techguy.org/f54-s.html .
There is a log analysis tool available:
http://forums.techguy.org/showthread.php?t=331545
but, as you will see from the discussion there, it doesn't replace human analysis.
If you're struggling, PM me and I'll take a look at the log for you.0 -
Thanks both :A

yeah forgot Majorgeeks, he has a HUGE step by step guide to ridding your machine forever of annoying stuff.
the important point is that you have to follow every step from start to finish, otherwise the infection will come back.
myself, after reading what was involved, formatted me hard-drive and started from scratch!"See you on the Other Side"0
