Cakes in food processor?

I have a Magimix and it makes wonderful cakes - maybe they're not as light as ones made with a whisk or a mixer, but they're lighter than ones made by hand and they're plenty light enough for me to get compliments whenever I make one! I just use the ordinary blade and either use the all in one method or cream butter and sugar first. I also tend to put a bit extra bicarb or baking powder in too.
My mum also has a Magimix (her's is about 20 years old now) and she's even won prizes at the village fete with her Magimix-made cakes :T0 -
I use it to cream butter and sugar then add the eggs slowly down the spout.
I then transfer the mix into a mixing bowl and fold the flour in.
I find the creaming method really boring, however it is more washing up!
For an impessive cake I always do it by hand, but fairly cakes, I bung everything in and 30 seconds later they are in the oven and they turn out just fine. (I have a kenwood, do not have the space for the biggie yet!):happyhear We are not put on this earth for ourselves, but are placed here for each other.
If you are there always for others, then in time of need, someone will be there for you.

Hi
I have an old Magimix that I got off freecycle. Its at least 10 years old but I use it for loads of things! One of which is cakes. I just put all the ingredients in and zap it for 30 seconds. The user manual says to add a teaspoon of baking powder.
I got the Magimix on freecycle to see if I would use a FP. I have it out on the top and use it often. When I first had it it was put away and I found it was too much hassle to get it out each time.
Am saving up for a super dupa Magimx now and will freecycle my old faithful one to someone else.
