Wow

Just phoned the Alliance and leicester and they are offering to reduce the interest rate on my loan by two percent (with a new loan), will check how this matches up on my spreadsheet to see whether there are sneaky fees etc.

I must be flagged up on there system now, as several messages online and debates (with onlookers) regarding various banking rip offs have surely caught there attention.

Also im 1.7K away from clearing the loan :D which is a month and a halfs wages, so hopefully march's payday will be a good one :)

The long struggle (which was extended thanks to my own stupidity) is almost at an end.

Well its not the 2%, its more the fact that in this climate they are "trying to help me become debt free"

Yes sorry I couldn't resists the title. Still if you can save money then why not, every little helps and the quicker you pay it of the better it is for your wallet.

Thanks, the debt freedom is just the start, but there has been ups and downs, and obstacles (some self made), but its getting close now, this loan is the big one, no more 250 a month coming out, that will be going in savings every month :D
  • Well done Kev!
Wish I could say the same thing...

    Congrats on being so close.

It's amazing to think how much "spare" money people have when they finish paying off their debts!
We'll be £300 a month better off in two years time when mum's loans finish
