Stick a notice on the front of the machine - just above the door - with a reminder to check the inside of the drum for any stragglers!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I find that this happens with mine when I use the 'fast spin' but not with the 'slower spin' - so I do know how annoying it is  .

    Hi Hollydays

My OH isn't allowed near my w/m - he does the ironing [it's his special treat - lucky man]. And every W/M I have ever had does that!!! I always spin mine around now once I take the clothes out to get that lonesome sock that defies gravity - force of habit.
  • Its just that your machine is spinning efficiently - its centrifugal force!

oh yes.. I spin my drum round too..

Once though I spun it round and a 'sock' slopped to the bottom of the drum so I stuffed my hand in and grabbed it.. when I looked it was.. A HEADLESS DEAD MOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to wash everything as the 'entrails' had been washed out of the mouse and were stuck to my laundry.. which of course happened to be the babys clothes... icky icky icky!!!!!!!!!!

As I'm pulling clothes out I spin mine one turn - doesn't take any extra seconds so not sure why this is such a nuisance? Its one of those things!

  • It's Standard Operating Procedure, surely? Like waggling the car's gearstick to ensure its in neutral, and checking the front door handle after you lock it.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)
  • i always spin mine when i think all is out, its annoying but better in the long run. rather do that than wear all pink clothes lol

Mine always does this - and so does the tumble drier. Not so disastrous in terms of colour transfer, but very annoying when I can't find a sock because it's still in the drier. Also, the drier drum is much heavier to turn I find. Maybe I just have weak wrists! OH doesn't know how the WM opens, so I'm quite safe - it's down to me! However, as he does loads of cooking and housework I can't complain.
