Any advice greatly received!

Advice please
Hi, I am a newbie to the forums! I had an graduate overdraft with lloyds whilst I was a student. I have paid off £1000 in the last 2 years by paying an agreed payment each month. Last sept my agreement was renewed where by I agreed to £50 each month off the remaining £780. ( I do intend to pay treble this, this month on to reduce this ASAP)

I always pay this on time and have never missed. Had my first statement in months today, and this was only because I went into the branch to request one. I've noticed that on statement they have charged me £30.00 on 10/12/07 for unplanned o/d fees- which i don't know why. Then, at bottom of statement, In noticed that between 10.12.07 and 30.12.07 they have charged me 10n daily fees of £15, monthy fee of £15 and interest on this of 8.66 which adds up to £173.66.

I've just rang up and got no sense from advisor, who stated that they started reducing o/d by £50 each month after my payment is made. If I'm right this means that I will defininetly be o/d until my payment is made. She said this has been happening from sept, but this is the first time, charges have been placed. I'm confused, and not sure if I can do anything about this?

I was planning on investigating this account with lloyds with a view to possible claiming charges back after I have cleared this o/d, as I suspect this might have been the reason, why o/d was higher than I thought I should be paying back.

I would be very grateful for any advice given, and thank you now in anticiaption

my guess is that at some stage they issued a new set of charges because of the reclaim legal situation and as indicated in the press recently, when you have a 12 page book if fees, how do you realise what they have altered. So you have been badly stung.

Is there any way you can get this back inside the OD limit - sell stuff on e-bay, anything?

Hi, thanks for the reply! I am already under the limit, these charges are for 10 days in dec, when they reduced limit, without telling me. I have been badly stung, but not sure what to do about charges as I thought I was paying agreed amount each month, with this reducing in time. Not sure what to do next?
