Just noticed because when in whsmiths this guy was buying it for £7 and we walked into aldi and noticed it at £4.99 so me and my partner had a good giggle lol

for a decent sky setup with movies, you're looking at £30-40 per month.

Most DVDs are available for around a fiver 6 months after release and many are less, so for the cost of sky, you can get, say 6-10 DVDs per month.

These are then available to watch whenever you want to, in better picture (Sky HD excluded) and sound quality - and you get exactly the films you'd like to watch, not whatever might be showing at the time.

If you watch movies *every night* I guess that sky might be good value, but for most people I would've though DVDs are quite cost effective.

you have got lots of film channels on sky loads if you bought them all on dvd it would cost you a fortune plus how many times are you going to watch them.

You have forgotten that with your subscriotion you get lots of other channels as well so your whole entertainment package works out about 10 pound a week not bad for everything you get plus digital tv and lots of radio channels.
