hi Stevo,
What is it you do for a living. Is it possible for you to seek out contract or temp work rather than a permanent 2nd job. Also can you transfer your CC balances to the lowest APR card? If you are spending so much on fuel is it cheaper to move closer to where you work or is the fuel cost social and not domestic?0 -
hi - also your food, is it for one person? if so, it's quite a lot!
also, you say you want to buy a house - do you have any savings for it?:A0 -

To up our income can you ebay possesions? Can you get into matched betting? What about daily clicks? Carboot sale?0 -
mate run through the cashcade bingo sites for a start in the gambling loopholes section..if your lucky theres a few hundred in it for you.
Also like mentioned above look around you and think do I really use this? if not ebay it
Also have a gander at quidco for raising funds..there is money to be had signing up for things and purchases you generally use...I just got £60 for switching my gas/electric which needed doing anyway and theres money to be had from opening a current account with A&LDebt Free Marathon: Start 01/06/09 £16714 - Current Position £14514 - Finish Line Xmas 20100 -
If you take away your outgoings from your wages you have £348 a month left so what are you doing with that? If your debts have been passed over to a DCA then you won't be buying a house for a wee while sorry:eek:
Do you really need that much petrol? public transport?
You can fed yourself for alot less than that a month, Could you not move back home for while to help pay off some of the debt?
If you want to seriously look at buying houses and stuff you have to look at your income - could you get a better paid job or a second income
I'm 24 and have a 8k loan thankfully i owned my flat before the loan but i know it will affect me when i want to sell up and move again.
Good luck and keep posting :money:0 -
thanks for your replys!!!
Well firstly, there are no apr's as they have all been passed over to the dca's, i live in between my house and my boyfriends house so i give £100 to each house for rent, i cant give any lower! the food of £100 includes packed lunches n stuff for work,
I work for a travel company which doesnt pay the best money i know, i love my job but it is far to travel and public transport is at least £7 per day!
Im sorting my stuff out at the weekend to put everythin on ebay and have done carboots, but gona start more!
I havnt put anything like car tax or repairs as i only get them if i have the money!!!

So you're in debt and you have two houses? I think you need to learn the difference between luxuries and essentials as your first port of call! If public transport is £7 a day, that's £140 a month, assuming you work 5 days a week. That saves you £20 a month and you can sell your car, saving on tax, insurance and repairs too.0
-
so what are you doing with the £348 left over from your wages?0
-
well i dunno what i spend the £348 on thats why am in debt!!! thats without payin any bills by the way!
i have to live between 2 houses i have no other choice, and if i lived in 1 house id have to pay more than £200 per month!! I cant sell my car as there is only one train from a station about 4 miles away from me so i have to drive there and leave my car there or get a lift so it doesnt help!!! x0 -
It sounds like you need to move closer to work or get another job. As for the car tax its not an option if you have a car its automatic nowadays if you dont pay the fine is automatically generated and your car may be taken off you and crushed so you need to budget for that or accept that you cant afford to run a car and seek an alternative life style. As for the missing £348 a month that needs to be addressed you will not be able to dig yourself out if you dont know where your money is going, plus £100 a month including pack lunches is still really a lot, where do you shop?0
