What to do?? Bankrupt or Not??

Hi all.

I currently have about £20'000 worth of unsecured debt, all of which is with
various debt collection agencies.

I have one debt of about £950 which is a ccj which i pay £10 per month to, all the others i have not paid since last april and even before that i was just paying willy nilly. I've never stuck to no payment plans.

This has been going on now for about 5 years as i havn't been bothered, ive ignored tonnes of letters and phone calls.

I have now settled down and got a family and want to get this sorted once and for all and have a fresh start.

What would my best options be and if my best option would be bankrupt, where would i stand as in my posessions?

I have an R reg car which i need for work and other things are just main household appliances with the tv being an lcd?

Many thanks in advance.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
