Spreadsheet Help?!?

I notice that there are a few spreadsheet apps floating about so that you can record and manage your finances better. I have tried downloading them but my computer will not run them as I do not have Excel. I do have mircrosoft works with spreadsheet facilities there. I am rubbish as these and just want some advice or recommendations!
Any way of getting Excel? Without paying a fortune. Or can I do the same budgeting with works? Anyone else use Microsoft Works???

Hi Amber. I don't have excel either. I downloaded openoffice for free. I wouldn't say it's quite as good as excel (that might just be because I'm used to using excel at work), but it does a perfectly good job.
Hope this helps.1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0 -

Thankyou guys!!!
Will I be able to use martin's spreadsheet with this app? Or the other budget ss? x 0 -
I've got to admit to not bothering with the MSE spreadsheet (do you think they'll be sending the boys around to get me!?!), but it says the budget planner will work with excel or open office so I assume the other applications will as well. After all, what's more MSE than using free software?;)1st April 2008 challenge:mad: xmas overspend = [strike]£254.05[/strike] £0:j......cc1 = [strike]£240.78[/strike] £0:j .......cc2 = [strike]£667.47[/strike] £0 :j ...amount owed to ISA = [strike]£1599.90[/strike] £0:jTOTAL TO GO = [strike]£2762.20[/strike] £0 !!! DONE IT DONE IT DONE IT!!!:dance:0
