I forgot to put this on earlier. I suppose I can't have the day off, Miss Pigpen? No, I thought not. *sighs deeply* oh well, does it count that I watered my today? And cleaned out the cat litter tray (coz my cats never go out coz they're both Scaredy Cats:D) And bought DS a suit for Thursday's "do".
Not that I want to boast or anything, but DH called earlier (He's on night out) and the person who nominated him had been on the phone to say he can;t make the "do" on Thursday, then told DH something that stopped him in his tracks. Apparently it's not just a case of getting a certificate, it's more of an inauguration, and one level down from an MBE!!! OMG! We didn;t realise it was that important. Special yes, but OMG! Better dig out a posh frock!
Mudbath - I'm on Facebook if you want to pm me. (or anyone else for that matter -Traceyg already found me!)
Also forgot to say that DS's friend didn't do anything last night, has been to see her counsellor today and is still feeling pretty grim. DS said he felt she needed the professional help and that there was a limit to what he could do and she got quite unpleasant saying she didn't know why he was being like that and he was "like everyone else" so I dictated his next reply, telling her she needed to remember he's not well and finds it very hard to cope with stressful situations as it makes all his symptoms worse. She's not contacted him again this evening. I've told him not to worry as he needs to think of his own health and she will be OK.

Fantastic news... My sis came to stay at the weekend and, not only is her partner a chef who cooked me dinner last night, but he refuses to cook in a messy dirty kitchen - so they cleaned it top to toe while I was at work! Hurrah. :j Hopefully I can keep it like that now with the flying - I had got down to just a chopping board sized space on nearly 10m of worktop.
Lurkio - I work full time as well, as does my OH. We also have a three year old and we are all naturally messy and hate ourselves for it (well I think DD takes her cues from me and actually quite likes it). On the other hand, when you do do something off the list, it feels like a great achievement so be pleased with what you can do and don't worry about the rest.
I love my kitchen...:heart2: (which is as close as I am going to get to a Valentine this year, or any year, sob!)0 -
Pink fairy - fab news about your OH. It's nice when they're recognised.
Molly george - what a cool sister and partner. They're the sort of visitors that i'd always welcome. The kitchen is a good valentine as it doesn't answer back! I wouldn't buy it a card though as friends might think you're starting to lose the plot! My OH has just phoned to say he won't be back until Friday so they'll be no valentine celebrations here either.
Right, I need to go and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
Night all xx0 -
evening
Thanks all for your words of wisdom, hugs, advice, PM's, etc etc re meltdown on Sunday night.
I've taken on board everyone's sugestions and here is my plan:
1. Have made appt to see GP to see if I can/should increased dose of tablets
2. Have phoned HV and left message requesting home visit (my HV is lovely)
3. Have un-suspended Spa membership, it will be active from March 1st
4. I am going to stop at 8.30 in the evening and not do any jobs after that.
5. I am going to follow my own mini FLY list and not try to follow the main one.
6. I have dug out my Millenium cross stitch kit - yes that means its 8 years old:eek: and I have done about a thousandth of a percent of it. Used to find cross stitch really relaxing so will try that again in the evenings.
7. Have asked DH for help and he has agreed (though of course on his terms so he thinks it was his idea). We agreed:
- he will tidy the kitchen at night after he has put kids to bed
- he will do a last night 11/midnightish feed for the baby
8. I am going to go to a different Weightwatchers meeting moving from a Thursday morning to Thursday evening. This frees up Thursday morning for other stuff, and means I will get to escape one evening a week.
9. I am going to try and go out with friends every couple of weeks. Made a start by going to pub with my friend tonight (she spotted I was feeling rubbish and texted me this morning)
10. I do tend to take kids to McDonalds and Asda cafe and stuff quite a lot especially at lunchtime. Being out of the hosue is so much easier. But feel dreadfully guilty for the lazy factor and the money - am going to STOP beating myself up about it and do whatever it takes to feel ok.
11. Hubby has suggested a weekend away for all of us, instead of worrying about the money I have said go for it and he is going to book it :T

Well the ovens/grill/hob/and stupid shiny splashback are all sparkling...
and that is about it*well apart from DW x3, WMx1 load, 1 hot wash, posting parcel, going to butchers, feeding the troops, filled the paper bin, 1000 trips to toilet with lo (ok 1000 a bit ott but everytime I tried to sneak off to do something she needed to go!) most of which was acheived with a storming headache (which has thankfully gone now)
What do you think the chances are of them behaving like angels 2 days in a row?
Ok better go really was not as late as this when I started catching up with everyone's news...
*will not think about all the jobs I need to do tomorrow - until I wake up* otherwise I will be back down in an hour to clean the [STRIKE]manky[/STRIKE] fridge0 -
