Dept repossesion company - lovefilm

Hi, had a lovefilm account for a while. had 2 films from them since july (dont ask!), after that I terminated my DD with them through my bank

got a heavy letter from a debt repossession company recently asking for 20 pounds (even though my monthly amount was 7.99)

I am not easily scared, have sent films back (forgot i had them TBH) and have NO intention of paying the 20 pounds

what can they do? I don't owe lovefilm any money now as i have returned the discs. right? or can they get some court order, come round my house and take my xbox?

From what I understand, you have to pay the monthly fee until you return the films. So if you got them in July and have just returned them you will have to pay rental up to this month.

hi the same thing happened to us. what you hsould do is calledlovefilm directly and explaind the situation ie you have already send the films throught he post. Normally they should send you a form to fill if they have never received the discs and i think they claim it back from the post office. But don't pay 20 pounds.

reading your thread has just made me remeber to cancel my subscription cheers for that :T

basically u cancelled the d/d but not the subscription?? if so... u need to pay up the £20 u owe.
