Another fishy deal at Tesco - Scampi @ 99p - EXPIRED!

There is an offer on at the moment where Tesco have the Frozen Kintyre Breaded Scampi, 250g reduced from £3.99 to £1.99.
However, i noticed this morning some Frozen Kintyre Breaded Scampi, 290g in foil packs. These scanned at only 99p.
So not only do you pay half of the half-price offer...... you also get a bigger pack!
They are easily identified as the 99p ones are foil packed.
BTW: The Best Before Date on mine are April 2009.

DARN, I knew i shouldnt have bought all those languistines !! i saw this offer but didnt register as was too excited by the fishy freinds with claws

must admit we now have mussels, langs, lobster, and now scampi filling the freezer........ the tuna steaks we can't seem to find anywhere in the Southampton area

erm... cheap mussels?? where are they then? (and on the beach is not the answer i was after!)

What no Scampi Welfare Brigade in here then, telling us all that we should consider the way that these Scampi are grown, obviously they can only be concerned with Tesco chicken.:rolleyes:

I will be having a look for these in my Blue Boar store in Norwich on Tuesday night so will report if they have these in stock at this price.

Well there was the case with Young's Scampi being shipped to the far east for shelling then being shipped back. But that was a different matter really!;)

I just looked on tesco.com and can't see it on there and they usually list everything that the store sells but sometimes they have end of line products like this that are not avalible on .com
