do i pay??????? pls help

i asked in an earlier thread but cant find it to bump it up and noone answered anyway but, please could someone advice me;-i offered studio cards £1 month to pay off my £790 or so account with them - they cannot produce a signed cca and after lots of toing and froing they wrote to say i could pay £1 a month by 4th feb which came on the 2nd or so (might have dates mixed up at mo - not got notes infront of me) and i didnt have time to make the payment in time anyway but.......yesterday i received another revised letter saying i could pay £1 a month by 15th feb or so.....what im concerned about is if i make a payment will they suddenly say - you paid so we can prove you owed........or something of the likeam i better to just hold out and tell them to take the account to court to try enforce? im just worried if i pay one £1 payment the court can then make me pay the rest at a stupid amount i cannot afford to send in the bailiffs....help please?thanks so much
