We are going to a wedding at the beginning of March (OH's cousin) and I have absolutely no idea what to buy! There was no wedding list with the invitation...
I don't know them especailly well, and have no idea what they like/don't like.... they are already living together so its not like they're even setting up home together too.
Ideally I don't want to spend more than about £30.... does anyone have any suggestions.....?
Thanks

if in doubt i give a terramundi pot
i think you can get personalised ones now - so you could get their names, date of wedding etc
it means that they can save up for a special occasion - and will think of you when they empty it and have their treat
give me a shout if you need me to dig out a website

£30 is a fair sum to spend on a wedding present, have they done a gift list yet?
What about something personal. my friend got married last yr, money bit tight, but in one of the card shop found a box - based on memory box for weddings, think it was £7.00, the bride was over the moon with it, she hadnt seen anything like that b4.
A few brownie points earned. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Maybe they're of the old school (like me) who think it is impolite to send a gift list with invitations and only give a gift list to people who specifically ask for it! I'd definitely ask them if they have a list or do as pps have suggested and get something that we all need like towels or glasses.I also love the idea of the terramundi pot.
Another idea, if you (or anyone you know ...and you could always try your local craft guild or WI) is able to press flowers, then a friend of mine (who is a pensioner and does this) always offers to make a pressed-flower picture from some of the flowers from the bouquet or table decorations etc at the wedding. The only cost is the frame (lovely ones can always be found at bargain prices if you hunt around). If done well these pictures can be a really lovely memento and the time and effort that goes into making this is so much more valuable than money!“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

Here are a few more ideas
Take a few kitchen gadgets, pretty serving spoons, or a few gourmet ingredients. Afterall, most newlyweds need kitchen basics like mixing bowls, kitchen towels and slotted spoons. Tie together with a pretty bow.
Frame their wedding invitation. Buy a pretty frame or have this done at a picture framing shop. You could also consider framing a favorite poem about love or marriage, or one of their wedding readings This is a gift they'll see and appreciate often.
A bottle of wine. Talk to your wine merchant about a bottle of wine that will be at its best in 10 or 20 years time. Tie a note to the bottle saying that it is meant to be shared on their 10th or 20th wedding anniversary.
Ingredients for a romantic dinner. This could be a couple of candles tied with a pretty ribbon, a jar of high quality spaghetti sauce and a box of pasta. If that gets too expensive for you, some nice candles with a note about the romantic dinners they'll enjoy together will work well also.
You could make a coffee and biscuits gift up too, buy some pretty mugs, some luxury coffee (try whittards) some luxury shortbread or other biscuits and some quality tea towels. Present this in a gift box or basket with lots of ribbon.
This is really nice too

Hope this helps :j
Towels can be an incredibly useful and inexpensive wedding gift. And, they fill up a big hamper basket, making your gift look a little splashier. If a set of towels is out of your price range, why not get one big luxurious bath sheet and a bottle of bubble bath. You might even throw in a few votive candles to make the gift extra romantic.

If they are going to a beach on their honeymoon, a beach blanket, some sunscreen, and a frisbee packaged in a low-cost bag can be a thoughtful and fun gift. Just make sure they open it before they buy these essentials for themselves.
Newlyweds are often looking for cheap date ideas. Why not give them a movie night? Buy a romantic comedy or another favorite movie, add in some microwave popcorn, and perhaps a blanket to cuddle up under or a big bowl to serve the popcorn.

Magazine subscriptions are gifts that keep on giving. You might choose a home making magazine like Real Simple or Good Housekeeping, or a magazine that is particular to their interests.

We got married in 2006 and my advice - Avoid wine glasses and champagne -we got load, ha ha!
ooh and avoid photoframes - we ended up with loads of these too.
Don't want to sound like we weren't greatful its just such a waste of peoples money.
One couple got us a box of his and hers things which was soo lovely - they were all wrapped in brown paper - Pink ribbon for me and blue ribbon for hubby. We had things like bath bombs, keyrings, pink and blue oven gloves, CD's made for us with songs they thought we would like. That was a really lovely gift.
Also another couple made us a posh "breakfast in bed" hamper which is very yummy - had lovely jams, mini bottles of champers, that kind of stuff.
How about prepaying for this - A paperweight made from the flowers of the brides bouquet? CLICK
These are cute CLICK
What about filling one of these Cupcake Trinket Box - someone did this for my friend - it fits 20 x £1 coins.
