Fast battery charger, faulty

I have a 4 month old Uniross Sprint fast charger for AA/AAA batteries. It charges in about 15 mins! This came from good old Argos, but has died.

I plan to take it back to Argos for a refund/replacement. HOWEVER - This charger is not featured in the new catalog. Now what?

There's not really an equivalent either - the "best" Argos has now is a 60 minute one.

depending on the facilities that are in place, if it can be repaired, then you will be offered a repair as the first port of call because you have had it for more than a month.

if no repair facility is available, then you will be offered a replacement if stock is available to replace with the exact same item. (because it is not in the new cat means that stock levels will be being run out. its 50/50 as to whether the store would be able to offer you a like for like replacement.)

if you cannot be offered a replacement, then you will be asked whether you would like to choose an alternative. if it is a more expensive one then you will be asked to pay the difference.

if those options are not viable then you will be offered a refund at the price you paid via the method you paid.

the above does and will vary from case to case, as each case is treated on individual merit although the CA will be working within fairly strict guidelines. it is also subject to you being able to provide a receipt or other acceptable proof of purchase, to prove that the item did come form argos and is still under manufacturers warranty.

    hope that helps.

Thanks - i have the receipt, so I hope I don't have a problem getting a refund. There's no eqivalent item in the catalog, so I'm going to reorder from elsewhere.
