I think this is a misprice as the GR4 model is -
    Save £2272.39
    Now £4026.61
    Was £4499.00, was £6299.00
which is the next size up which makes me think a possible 0 has been missed off the end but I will be keeping everything crossed that they will honour it!!

That's half the fun, isn't it? :rotfl:

I now have a tiny little anticipatory knot in the pit of my stomach, a bit like that one time that I played bingo, and was waiting for one number for a line! :j

Yes but having £357 taken from your bank account and then having to wait to have it re-credited as they cant complete the order is a bit of a pain and can take forever.

You're right, cmacca, that's true. So far I've been lucky, but there's bound to be a first time.

I agree that it does look like a bit of decimal point slippage has gone on here. I doubt very much that this will be honoured.

But to quote some wise sage - you've got to be in it to win it.

And I honestly have no idea who coined that one, but I have a feeling it's got sumamt to do with the lottery. Now that's one game of chance I've never bothered with. ;)

I wonder if the old law of offer and acceptance still stands. If an item is offered to you and you acept the cost and the seller then confirms acceptance in writing (e mail?) surely it is a contract? Or are misprices different.? Any ideas.

Yes At least this is 50/50, yes or no, not a 14 million to one chance of winning!
Don't know what I'm hoping for more now, a garden room or Afrika Afrika tickets! :D What fun! I think I need to get a life...:o
  • I have ordered one but we all know we are chancing it and probably will not get it

    order ts and cs state

Whether or not you receive the e-mail, our acceptance of your order will create a legally binding contract between us.

We reserve the right not to supply you at our discretion.

then even if it is a miss price on the internet they dont have to sell it to you, so what would be the point in ordering and then waiting to see if you get lucky

Because despite the fact they don't have to honour missprices sometimes they do. I got a rather nice Dell PC a few years back, thanks to this site. The missprice got fixed quickly but they still honoured it and I got a bargain.

Yes we don't like people being rude on these forums or calling each other names. However alerting companies to missprices by phoning them is generally not seen as the thing to do.

    Cheers
    Rob

Edit : Also everyone lets not get into the legal arguements if this doesn't come off as they are so dull. You win some, you lose some.

Going by other similar threads I think the contract isn't binding until they have taken your money.

As many threads on this site will testify there is no obligation on B and Q to honour a misprice even if they have taken your money.

it is not binding on most websites until you receive the product even if they take money out of your account. Already have a summerhouse so don't need this but would love it to work for all of you.
