after all this we have forgot to send for one for ourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
have dealt with palladium before and were very pleased but not as pleased as we would have been this time if we had remembered to order a garden room
    Hi Kaat,
Up to now I have been a bit of a lurker but felt I had to register and say I was sorry to hear you had not ordered one !
I did order one and have had the receipt and email confirmation although as per some of the previous comments due to the actions of a certain sad individual I think this is not likely to be honoured now.
As for being a "Law Graduate" I konow its Valentines coming up but I think theres more than a bit of "Romance" in the air.
Thanks once again for posting and I hope the idiots actions don't put people off posting similar spottings

  • Hi Kaat,
Exactly the same as Silk, there are lots of us just watching these sites, and unfortunately not commenting, keeping our mouths shut, and our fingers redundant,
Unfortunately I did not order, but I tried and those two minutes of the thought of getting a bargain made it worthwhile, so everyone needs to keep going with this!

I also would like to say thanks for posting, although I was too late to try and order! I would also query why an apparent ''Law graduate'', who unfortunately seems to have had several runs of bad luck recently judging by the posts, would be so ill advised as to ring the company and 'spoil' the offer for everyone else. Oh well.....

Yes, don't ring up about it!

How stupid do you think they are? They probably sell one of these a week at this time of year. Do you not think they would have noticed getting hundreds of orders in the space of an hour?

I hope thay let a few go through at the misprice as a PR exercise but it's so sad to see you slagging each other off here raher than being helpful.

And if it doesn't work out this time, "smile and walk away". You've lost nothing and there will be another chance on something soon. But don't try and blame it on fellow posters.
    Can I help?
  • Hi

I am gutted I didn't log on early yesterday, argh
If this has helped you please don't forget to click Thanks, thankyou.

    Hi Rdwarr,
You are quite correct when you say "don't ring up about it!" and I think that was the message that was trying to get across by a few of the comments.
Yes they probably would have noticed given time that quite a lot of orders were being taken for the item and realised that it was a misprice ! However how many might have been allowed to slip through before the penny dropped is anyones guess.
When this has happened before with other companies there has been a few orders that have been honoured, The one with the bed for £2.99 a while back springs to mind. The point is that in this case within half an hour of the OP some idiot is on the phone to customer services bringing it to their attention which means it is flagged before ANY orders are processed and what is worse is that the person in question neither had the funds nor the inclination to make a purchase !
It goes without question as we all know that the chances of getting the item were going to be slim from the outset, however I would have liked to have had a run for my money without being nobbled by a fellow forumite before we've left the starting stalls
I also do not see any "slagging each other off" as you put it, all I see is trying to bring it to peoples attention that ringing up and blowing the whistle is not the done thing in this game.
What worries me is that it puts prospective posters off making similar posts to let us know of deals of this type when all thats going to happen is within minutes some idiot is going to ring head office and point out the error.
I also quite agree that perhaps we should smile and walk away as there will be other deals in the future ! The trouble is a misprice on a £5 box of choclates being priced at 50p or something isn't quite the same as something at £5000 being priced at £357 !!!
Also when you say "you've lost nothing" I would like to point out that at the moment my bank account is £377 down at the moment which means I will have lost interest on it untill it returns to the bank. No great deal but would be interested to see you're "smile and walk away" if it was you're £377 ;)

I saw one poster refer to another as a "!!!!!!". I hasten to add that it wasn't you.

Also emember that different people have different moralities and levels of honesty. This "game" as you call it is about finding genuine bargains, not exploiting innocent mistakes.
    Can I help?

    Hi Rdwarr,
I think to be honest you are right and the person in question was referred to as "!!!!!!" and I can assure you I was thinking of terms a little stronger myself !
Talking of morals and exploiting mistakes etc ...you will notice that there have been thousands of posts exploiting pricing mistakes on this Forum so I don't think the Forum is just about finding genuine bargains.
Or perhaps we should nominate our friend to monitor the threads and ring up the various chains as soon as one is spotted ;)
