Does nepatism come under Equal pay rights?

Something I haven't come across in law, as such in this way, but wondered if any of you good folk have?
I am fighting an equal pay (of value) , my comparator being male, me female. There are reasonable grounds to this but not sure how it will go....
I just wondered if there was anything to say that nepatism (as is the case here- the manager's partner getting more money- the highest hourly paid member of staff for a known period of a year-, I believe just due to him being her fella) is against the law and can be somehow fitted into the EPA?

Man, that stinks.
There doesn't appear to be any nepatism ruling in the company proceedures handbook neither. Wonder if I should ask them further and see if there is a hidden company policy in this area? Or could they use that against me if I do, as a defense?0 -
Do they have an "ethical code of conduct" document? If so, nepotism should be included even if not explicit.
As it is an equal value claim, how are you valuing the relative contributions?0 -

I'll take a look LV, thanks for that. So it's nep-o-tism? Thanks again for the correction!
I am a bit at a loss to be honest as to how to value the jobs, but I aim to go with level of responsibility held. Me more so. Also comparator didn't have 'fixed hours' as such, he turned up when he could/wanted as he lived a distance away (but stayed in establishment) and did odd jobs more so than a fixed role. However the job description provided by the company says otherwise and has set jobs.
There is some overlap between us, but not enough for 'like work'.
I have found an excellent link via EOC (now merged into another site) that gives guidelines of how to break the jobs up to be able to compare them.
I have yet to study it properly, due to uni work taking over at the mo.0
