I have done this before, but the answer eludes me...

I need to completely lock a worksheet in Excel. I can manage to password it from changes, but individual cells can still be clicked on or highlighted to reveal the contents - i need to prevent this.

When you click on Tools then Protection, you should see a drop drop down menu in the protection tab window *thingy* (technical term:p ). If you clear the Locked Cells option, it should prevent anyone from clicking on the cells you've locked. It's usually the first option in that list of checkboxes. The default is normally a tick - that will allow people to click on the cells but not edit them, but clearing the tick will mean they can't click on those cells.
