I pay for mine and my husbands petrol as he pays for the childcare.
My contract on my phone is due to expire in a couple of months so will look for a better deal then.
With regards to the dentist. we don't have any NHS dentists for miles. It took me nearly a year to get on the private dentists books.0 -
how much are you spending on loan / card repayments every month?
Do you have direct debits set up for the minimum payments?
Is your overdraft fee or how much is i costing you in interest? I was surprised to find my OD was most expensive debt.
Is the Lloyds one a loan or card?

Have just done a quick calculation and based on the figures you have put in you are over spending each month, therefore getting yourself deeper into debt. Is there any way your partner can help?
You are currently spending about £433 per month on food, this is a hell of an amount, with some cutting back and help from the old style board you should be able to bring this down by at least £100 per month.
Are you able to get a new CC with a low life of balance that you could transfer some of the debt to? (not an option if you are likely to spend further on it).
What about child tax credits that someone mentioned earlier, Even if it's only a small amount a month, its better than nothing.
Do you actually put aside money for Christmas, car tax and insurance each month or deal with them as they arrive? Do you have any savings that you could use?0 -
The grocery bill is food/cleaning etc. I have looked at the old style board and will try to cut it to about £300 a month.
New CC is not an option as credit score is too low.
We don't qualify for tax credits.
Everything has been paid for as it happens. It is only in the last few months that things have been going wrong so have been living off credit cards.
Cashed in ISA and premium bonds to help prevent the debts getting worse.
Pay will go back upto £1900-£2000 once I have had op and am back at work.0 -
I have made a committment to lower my grocery shopping to £200 for the rest of the month.
I have written out a menu for the week and have been able to do a whole week using stuff from the cupboards and freezers. I did have to spend 73p on some parsnips for tomorrows roast but would normally have gone out shopping today and spent £70-£80. I do have to go tomorrow but I have a strick list and am hoping to keep it to less than £20.0
