plumber training question

hi guys.ok well my hubby is looking to train as a plumber. he is unable to attend college as works 2 jobs so couldnt fit it in.he is looking at a learn at home course. can anyone recommend a course ??? we would need to be able to pay monthly
trying to lose 3 stone by end of 2014;)

    The problem with these courses is that virtually every employer doesn't count them as there's no hands on training or apprentice type training. You get a bit of paper saying you've passed the tests but the experience a 2 year apprenticeship gives isn't there.

    your OH would have to attend classroom practical work at some point

    he is quite prepared to do practical work, we have seen some courses where you study at home and then have some classroon days at weekends. this is fine as he has weekends free.
    trying to lose 3 stone by end of 2014;)

    Then alongside that he needs to try and get in with a company and learn and train at the same time , doesnt HAVE to but it will be hard to get into plumbing with no experience
