Thanks Merlot!
I quit my job last year due to it being really stressful, my OH works 7days to bring the money in for me & our 2 children, last year we remortgaged the house to pay some of the debts we were behind on (stupid i know) & now im still not in work, we are getting more behind on everything car, mortgage, council tax ...we cant even afford to buy ourself new shoes that we are desperate for.
We have had baliff letters, red letters from other debts.. its a deep hole we are in & dont see how we can get out of it.

Hi and Welcome.
You have taken the first step coming on here. Im not very knowledgeable but I would think the first thing you need to do is contact someone like the CCCS.
They will help you sort out what you can/cant afford etc.
Also try posting a SOA (all your incomings/outgoings/debts/APRs etc.) on here, and we will try and help you make savings etc.
There is probably a reason, but are you able to get another job? Even just a part time one to help out on the cash front?Debt: just my mortgage0 -
Hello Luk on the brightside, lovely to see you over here.
Firstly can you post an soa (incomings and outgoings) and list your debts, APR's. Can you tell us how much your mortgage is and how much your house is worth (I am not suggesting consolidation for one minute, it rarely works) and we will take it from there.
You really have come to the right place, the lovely peeps on here will give you tons of advice once your SOA is up.
Take a look at this:

It will help you.
In the meantime grab a coffee, sit back and have a read of CCCS, they are a debt charity and they will be able to advise you, its free to get advice and the phone call is free also.http://www.cccs.co.uk/
Edit: just to say from your other post on the other board £2K a month is a good income and I'm sure you will see light at the end of the tunnel before the weekend is over, you are not alone, plenty of peeps on this board have huge debts and income less than yours, where theres a will theres a way!

Please pay your mortgage, any secured debts, council tax and electric/gas as a priority over any other debts.
The advice above is spot on.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Hi there, i made the decision to quit my job this week after being off with stress for the last few weeks, my partner was made redundant last august and has his second job interview today. Sometimes life is more important than the job. I think you have a huge amount of help available on here, like said above lok for help, but don't pay for it and make sure you pay the mortgage it's the most important, other things can be sorted later. If you don't already, make sure you have a realistic budget for your spending and definately post your SOA as this allows everyone on here to give you advice which is more specific to you. Good luck with this and remember everyone on here wants to help so don't feel alone in this.0
