You don't
You force yourself to eat a big breakfast then drink a really hot mug of coffee. Have a shower, wash your hair then go. Eat loads of fruit during the day.
That's what I do, it works for me

Mandi - BIG HUG
I know it's hard when you feel like that but we women are good at getting on with it aren't we?!
I agree with Troo's advice - have a nice shower and hair wash to make yourself feel better and, put on your favourite top or something that you know you feel good in. It's nearly the weekend so you've just got one day to get through and you can do it!
Good luck - let us know how it goes.

Hi Mandi
I know how you feel...I get so washed out at that time, and lack of sleep on top of it means that I end up being grumpy and incapable of making rational decisions, and when it's over I inevitably find mistakes I've made at work etc.
How essential is your presence to the success of the school trip and to your son's enjoyment of it? Will your son be the only one without a parent? If you absolutely HAVE to go then yes, 'fraid you'll have to try really, really hard and go, even if you end up sleeping on the bus.
However if the school trip will go ahead without you, and your son can go without you, and if you are feeling really, really rough and think that your presence might actually spoil your son's last school trip - then tell your son that you feel unwell and ask him how he would feel if you didn't go. Offer to do something really special during the summer to make up for it, something that he would really enjoy.0 -
Its not just the OP's son affected by this though. She has made a commitment to accompany this trip and there is an adult to pupil ratio that has to be achieved before the trip can go ahead. By ducking out at this late stage the school may not be able to take all the pupils. There is also the issue of safety and the school cannot just select someone else to go in their place. It needs to be someone known and considered trustworth with the pupils.
We've all had times like this but have to get on with things. The only excuse would be if they are going somewhere where toilets are few and far between but otherwise troo is spot on.0 -

Oops sorry, didn't realise that she had a formal role on the trip.0 -
It's the last thing I ever feel like doing at the time but at 2 minute blast on the exercise bike always helps ease the stomach cramps. Also apart from the dash to the toilet every 1/2 hour I find walking really helps (if I can stay upright!) BIG HUG to you though it's not the weather to be feeling rough.0

I feel so sorry for you - im having a similar sleep deprivation from the heat at the moment, and feel very pre-menstrual which never helps. On top of that, we had 3 spiders in the bedroom last night, so I couldnt even settle until they had been removed. One was massive so i couldnt get near it, and moved really quickly, so I made the boyf move that, but i managed to get rid of the other two smaller ones. Also had a MASSIVE moth fly at my head last night, the cat loved trying to catch it, but anything that is too big where I can distinguish eyes and separate body parts scare the hell out of me. It doesnt help that we have to keep the windows open to try and get a little air, then I get attacked by a multitude of bugs.
Needless to say, im not feeling on top form at the minute, but I find the best thing for me is to have a cup of tea, and do what needs to be done in a nice and steady way, and if I feel that awful, go and take a nap somewhere. I hope you feel better soon!
