Jewellery Alteration in Manchester - Please!

Hi all and thanks in advance

Wish to have rather nice nurse style brooch watch converted into normal wrist one by having it attatched to magnetic bracelet. Am new in Manchester - so would someone recommend good inexpensive and obliging jewellers? Guessed H Samuel cheapest of large companies but thought I would check hear first.

There's a decent (cheap) jewellers on Cheetham Hill Road (can't remember the name but it's near San Rocco restaurant. If you're coming from the city centre get the 135 bus as far as Seymour road. You'll see the jewellers on the right.

Next time I go past I'll get the name and edit this post!

Alternatively, in the city centre there are a few decent jewellers in st anns square

which side of mcr are you on?
there's a family jewellers called ormandy's in walkden, on hyde road. they only now open on thur fri sat i think.
the owner makes jewellery, and made me a beautiful bangle from old gold items i no longer wore, and inset the 7 small diamonds from my mum's eternity ring (ring too frail to wear)

Yea, it does depend on where abouts in manchester you are from. There is one in Irlam on Liverpool road called Gemtime that can do Jewellery Alterations.
