    You could make paper jewellery:

    Cut triangles out of old magazines cover with wallpaper paste/PVC glue, roll to form a "bead" and thread onto string to make necklaces/bracelets. Used to keep me amused for hours!

    Are you near the beach? You could go prawning/winkling/muscling or if you're lucky a lobster!!! Free day out plus free dinner!!

    Walk by a river with a picnic

    Baking day

    Visit Nanny and Grandad for a few days - a holiday but not a holiday!
