where are you? Ive been making good use of free events and activities in London, from family days at Somerset house, to free music and theatre on the South bank, not forgetting all the museums inbetween

You could make paper jewellery:
Cut triangles out of old magazines cover with wallpaper paste/PVC glue, roll to form a "bead" and thread onto string to make necklaces/bracelets. Used to keep me amused for hours!
Are you near the beach? You could go prawning/winkling/muscling or if you're lucky a lobster!!! Free day out plus free dinner!!
