Says the make is Tevion very clearly here:

    http://uk.aldi.com/special_buys/product_296.html

Usually they are good quality (the same can't be said of the Bush stuff Aldi often have).

Possibly the techie forum might be better placed to answer this but....

This player says its DIVX \ MPEG4 compatible, I ussume this means it can play files encoded with the DIVX codec into an Mpeg-4 file? Can I further assume that it WON'T read other codecs (eg XVID)?

    Thanks

    E.M.

Usually DIVX players quite happily play XVID, M2V, MPG etc. I wouldn't think this one was any different.

Thanks OP and reelcrazy, my current DVD player is on the way out (keeps freezing and sometimes has no sound) so this could be the replacement.....

  • Can anyone tell me if this has the different outputs for surround sound?
    eg. sub/centre/f left/f right/r left/r right (all seperate)?
A bargain is only a bargain if you intended on buying it in the first place!!!
