aDVICE ON OFFERS TO PAY PLEASE!

Hi Everyone
Situation is this: We have just sold our house as we are moving abroad and we have several large credit card debts that we nee to pay off within the next couple of weeks. What I would like adviceon is how open are credit card companies to an offer of payment below the amount the debt actually is? For instance we have a debt of 10k with Virgin and up to now have always paid the amounts on time but we are struggling to pay everythign in full now. Is it worth making a full and final offer of say around 7k?

Any advice would be gratefully received

bumpety bump bump, back to the top you go.

Hello hon, hopefully someone will be along that can help you with this, although it would be a good idea to call each company and say that you have a lump sum of money right now and if you were to pay in full how much would they accept. That may well give you some kind of a gauge to work to.

    Good luck.
