Computer repair Belfast area

Hello all,
My desktop is playing up and is beyond my skills to fix - it basically freezes at startup and says that some file or other is stuck in a loop - XP won't even load up!
Does anyone know somebody who does repairs in the Belfast area that could take a look for me? Have searched this board and can't find any previous posts.
Thanks in advance,
Robothell

Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"

If you turn on your computer and then keep tapping the f8 key then choose safe mode, or last known good configuration.
If last known good configuration works all well and good, if its xp then do a roll back to when it was working fine.
If safe mode works then you know its a bit of software that is trying to be loaded up and again you can roll the computer back a few days to when it was working ok. to do this when you are in safe mode go to start then to all programes then to accessories then to system tools then to system restore. then roll the pc back to a date when it was working. this will only roll back the operating system and you will not loose any data.
let us know what happens:T0 -

I used to have a signature with links to the League Tables for good/bad shipping charges for Northern Ireland. But I have since learnt that this is against site rules - so they are no longer here! PM me if you need them0

We also use Help Computer Centre - have used them a few times with probs on desktop and laptop - seem to know their stuff and don't charge a fortune.

Stick a question up in the techie forum. Its a comman problem, an XP CD inserted at startup and 'repair' install, will not delete any files and fix your little problem.0

Starting it in safe mode sorted the problem! Thanks again blackadder1b!
I wonder if Arkonite_Babe could add the others to the list of handymen (or women) that was bandied about for a while.Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. PM me and let me know what kind of a list you'd like to see. Then we can hopefully get it sorted
