Digiguide is very handy - I've been a subscriber in the past - but even cheaper (though slower than having all the data downloaded to your PC) is the TV guide on the channel5 website (http://www.five.tv). the data is sourced from digiguide and is pretty much an online version of what digiguide software gives you.

I've had digiguide for a couple of years, and have always found it really useful. I've just looked at the suggested websites, and i'd say they are far inferior in terms of content, features and useability
Obviously digiguide isn't free, but compared to the cost of a weekly tv listings it makes better economic sense.

i have to agree, digiguide does indeed rock! ;D

but for those that cant afford it, or dont fancy shelling out more money on top of their license fee, cable subscription, ISP subscription, line rental etc etc theres a couple of free downloadable tv-guide applications available that i know about.

freeguide, its written in java so in theory cross platform compatible, but a bit resource hungry.
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeguide-tv/

and tv-guide which is windows only at present.

and my favourite free one, which is called tvguide (its name sounds similar to the previous one, but is a different application entirely) the only problem is it doesnt seem to be available on the authors website anymore as he is in the middle of a website redesign. TVGuide used to be able to be downloaded from http://www.serveyourself.co.uk/ but theres nothing there at present, fingers crossed he will be sorting the site out sometime in the future and put his cool free tv guide application back up.

although tvguide is pretty good, none of them are a patch on the amazing functionality and great usability of digiguide, but they do have some of the more basic features.
