  • So have any of you had a face to face interview - and also - what is all this IPA ad having to pay for three years - does it mean that you dont get discharged after a year, which is what I thought happened - how doe they decide this?

Any surplus income you have after your essential outgoings plus £99 the OR will take a percentage of, this is called an IPA. When you fill out your I&E form let us have a look and we will make sure you have not forgotten anything. An IPA lasts 36 months if you are given one but you are still discharged after 12 months.

  • Hi Princsess! I think most people have phone interviews with someone from the OR office but a percentage must be done face to face (otherwise the OR wouldnt have a job:p ).As far as I am aware you are automaticaly disscharged after 12 months but if the OR requests an IPA it can last 3 years.
I am sure someone will be along soon with more info.
Its worring about the unknown thats the worst bit,I prommis it wont be as bad as you imagin it might be.

  • thanks - it is so so scary, i have has avice from the CCCS so i think that my I&E are all okay, im worried tho as on paper my income is £1400 and out £1500 - but I am a recruitment consuktant, so it is commission based, so my basic salary of £1400 has had arond £200 extra the last few months, so concerened about what they base their figures on. I thought that it was going to be straight forward at the OR, but with all this 3 year and IPA stuff, it looks like it is going to be more stress. Not looking forward to friday, it has been hard to find ppl on here that have been face to face - i have a car and a house which is why i thought i may have been called to see them. Thanks for teh advice!
