:hello: Maria,
welcome to MSE! I dont keep a count of how many competitions I enter but last christmas I won myself a laptop which was amazing and I was on a high for days
I have won the other things which are in my signature as you can see
I enjoy doing competitions as it keeps my mind active and me out of mischief
Good Luck on future wins you may have
love and light,

Hi, I enter as many comps as I can but, have to own, only ones I'd like to win the prize either for myself or for friends and family. You get bleak times when you seem to win nothing but the beauty is you never know when you'll get a phone call, an email, letter or a parcel.
Good luck."Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm Welsh" Cerys Matthews0 -
I agree, just looking at the "i won, i won, i won" posts makes me think if anyone can win, maybe i can too!
Im going to keep going strong, sadly i dont have a computer at home, so have only the time at work to enter the competitions. So i'll try to enter as many as i can when i get a spare hour or so at work.
Good luck you guys
Hi Maria,
I've been comping for couple of years now. Biggest win was a mini-cruise to Amsterdam (like the Valentines one that is currently running) - but for 10 people in Commodore de Luxe class (private lounge, nice rooms, free beer, wine and food) and all meals included. Was worth £1600. Haven't had many big wins - usually books, DVDs, cash etc. I probably enter 30ish a day, maybe more - its hard to keep count!
If you only have a little time to devote to it then I would be choosy about which ones you enter - go for things you really want - holidays, TVs, cars, jewellery - whatever it may be. And go for the ones that require some effort - like punchline/tiebreak ones - they attract fewer entrants because they require effort, therefore your odds of winning are better.
Another very good tip is to set up a hotmail address or yahoo address, specifically for comping because it seems to be inevitable that you get a bit of spam and weekly/monthly newsletters! Have a look here for more tips.
And good luck!:DIf you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0 -
Hello and welcome!
I enter around 30 a day, many more at weekends and when I get time off work. So far this year I've only 'won' a bottle of Lenor Concentrate in a new flavour - but worth having! Last year I won three times. I tend to only enter comps for things I want (or I know someone who would want it) rather than for everything - but generally it just depends on what's on the board and what mood I'm in.
Sometimes I get very disheartened when I have no wins but this part of the board always makes me keep going! It is certainly addictive...
I just wish I could find new comps to put on here to return the favour to all those who post regularly, but so far the only one I've managed to find was a duplicate!

Hi
I have been comping since the end of November last year and so far I have won loads of books for the kids, a waterproof outfit for the kids, software, champayne, concert tickets, a digital camera but the best win for me is a trip to LA in November this year for 4 nights.
Without doing the comps there is no way I could of afforded to buy hardly any of this stuff. I usually try to enter most of the comps on the board but tend to miss out on the ones that are of no interest to me.
Good luck with your comping.Wins This Year - 2/1 Dog coat.

Welcome to the forum!
I have been comping for a couple of years on and off and try to enter some each day, probably about 30 ish (sometime more).
I had only won some little things like DVDs etc.
My big win came last June when I won a family holiday to Australia with lots of other things thown in (hotel/car/tickets etc). It was worth about £9000! We went for Christmas and it was fantastic.

Hiya,
Welcome to the [STRIKE]Addicts[/STRIKE] Compers Forum!
I started comping in August and I enter approx 70 comps per day.
My first win (An iPod Nano) came within 2 weeks!
My best wins so far have been::
iPod Nano; £50 Faith Shoe Voucher; 40 inch HDTV; Playstation 3 with games; Packard Bell computer; Box of organic vegetables every week for a year and a years supply of tea!
I seem to get something coming through the door every 4-5 days!
The best thing for me is the enjoyment I get out of this Forum. Everyone here is so friendly and I find I now laugh more than ever. This Forum has made such a positive impact on my life.
I sincerely thank you all :kisses3:Eleventh Heaven No. 321

Hi and welcome
i enter about 40 comps per day and reckon on a win approx every 500 comps. This is only a rough guide as you can get bleak periods. This years total wins comes to about £220 but hope more are on the way.
Best advice is dont give up

Hi
i have been entering comps for over ten years and have had very lean times and some great prizes along the way. Trip to the world cup and VIP trip to Wimbledon being my most memorable. Enter as many comps as possible and don`t forget your local paper as they usually have comps and the entries are low. Lots of luck and keep compingMake £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.0
