Something I've never done but maybe one of you has.
I've just fitted a DVD/RW to my grans machine. She wants to make a slide-show with all her pics and put them on a DVD disc for the DVD standalone player.
Can you make a VCD/SVCD with Nero and write it to DVD? Or does it have to be on CDR?

if your DVD player supports JPG or Picture-CD, you can create simple data disc with all JPG images and player will run them as slide show.

Many DVD player's will play Jpegs just be creating a DVD data disc using Nero or other burning software. Alternatively there's plenty of software out there that will create a DVD sideshow, like Ulead pictureshow, Sonic Recordnow etc
No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you0 -
My brother has a great piece of software which only cost about £20 and it creates a very professional slideshow including fading effects, opening titles and credits at the end and you can also include sound effects and music tracks.
The software is very good and simple to use
I will try and get the name of the software for you0 -
Nero can easily do this straight onto the dvd.Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0

I dont have smart start. Just plain 6.6.0.6.
If I click over to 'DVD' all the video/picture disc options go on left hand side.
When in DVD-mode I have these;
ISO
DVD-Copy
DVD Video
DVD ROM (boot)
DVD ROM (udf)
DVD ROM (iso/udf)
If I choose CD I have the option to do a VCD/SVCD. But still cant see owt about Picture CD.0 -
Sorry, i just assumed that as you could do it with smart start, you would be able to do it without it. May be an idea to get the most recent updates. Windows moviemaker can also create photo cds/dvds if you have that.Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0

can you put sound on these? i'd also like to make some...but havent done so yet0
