Lesley..have you thought about sending a very nice letter to your LL explaining the situation?
It might be better that they heard it from you rather than some official letter from the OR at a later date.
If you got a chance to explain your side of things the LL might be fine.
The ones i've heard of that have been told (by the person going BR) have been fine about it, and he might appreciate your honesty. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. dont despair
what I did with my cc is different to you, you have been paying essential bills, I wasnt doing that with mine
and in any case, the experts on this thread have said it unlikely it will be an issue so please dont worry, I cant see how your essential expenses are something they will look into at all
and as for LL - again the experts on this thread have suggested he is a newbie or playing it by the book - there are loads of threads on here that confirm the OR hasnt told LL so please dont focus on this ONE negative when so many are the opposite ((((Hugs)))) I only mentioned it so people are aware, not to worry anyone0 -
thanks BLTN, a good idea (as always)
I did think I might do that but I am taking my docs into the OR office tomorrow so was going to see if when they are passed to the senior person, whether he/she will consider my request. IVe left the statement lease and a letter requesting that LL isnt told with my docs so thought Id wait and see a while, Im not really worried either way.
My LL is ok but a fuss pot. I was going to be receiving a paycheque late in August so being a good girl, out of courtesy told him I would be 2 days late with the rent whilst my cheque cleared. LL came back to me and said he was going to check out the "legal implications" of him accepting that. Of course there werent any - it was only 2 days and the agreement says he cant issue a warning till 14 - but it indicates his personality so I figured best if he doesnt know about the BR but Im up to date, always paid early and am a model tenant so if he wants to evict me, good luck to him
Not going to let anyone control me over this sort of stuff ever again, there's always another way, another flat etc

            Good for you Lesley.
It would cost him money and time to get you out, also he might not get such a good tenant again so its unlikely he will throw you out.The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

Not sure about the newbie bit, but certainly going by the book.
FeelingLow, it sounds very scary when your examiner says they are going to investigate this or that. But as Lesley quoted her examiner as saying, they are looking for serious wrongdoing. lesley thanks for posting that, i am so scared of my OR interview and like you used the cards to juggle other debt and to live in the last few months!
i hope mine is as pain free as yours, and then as i have nothing to offer them that will be the end till i'm discharged then i have a clean slate x

Homer its nothing the OR hasnt seen before...your not the first to use cards & juggle and most def wont be the last...come OR interview be as open and honest as you can & you'll be fineWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

            What a brilliant, detailed thread.
I have to admit to now panicing as I took out cc's and used them whilst we were running our own business in the hope that everything would be ok and I am ashamed to admit I was extremely frivilous with the ccs when i was unsure of money coming in. I just always thought it would be because it always had been (does that make sense?) I have not used those cards in the last 2 years but was definately carefree with them at the time. I wonder what will happen in this situation.
I have to agree that it is so hard to get any definitive advice because each court/clerk/judge/OR is different....along with each BR, debt, circumstance is different.
I think you have the right idea Lesley of Que Sera Sera.
Thanks for sharing...keep us updated.
