Whsmith 10p Bargains

Just been to Bletchley branch of Whsmith to pick up my local paper and spotted lady in front of me holding a rather nice thick Suduko book and pen with a '10p' price sticker on it. DD is mad on Suduko so got back out of the queue and went for a look. Found said Suduko book - seems they are dated puzzles one for each day of the year and also picked up 6 packs of xmas cards (10 per pack) also at 10p per pack, and 8 packs of xmas gift tags - 5 packs for the 'grown-up' nice foil ones and 3 packs of characters with springy legs for the kiddies. Nice big bag full of stuff for £1.50. Just have to remember where I've put them come the end of the year now. Lots of other reduced things - 10p, 69p and higher.

  • The Sudoku books were still £5.99 in Bishop Auckland branch and the Christmas cards 25p
So the pricing could be at the manager's discretion.

Thanks saved me going to look myself, I might try Durham though I doubt they'll have any offers as they don't usually.

We used to get some very good bargains in Smiths but the manager got transfered to their Darlington branch.
I hate the parking in Darlington, so haven't been to see if he's improved their deals.

    I miss him :-(
